[The good thing about continuing to share a room with Estinien is that he's almost always on hand to answer a question, even if Aymeric has to wait until the end of the day. The flipside to that is that it's painfully obvious the man is fretting over something. Certainly not tear-his-hair-out fretting, but still chewing on a question he hasn't quite found it in himself to ask just yet.
Aymeric knows the dragoon. Between the two of them, only one had the patience to withstand prolonged exposure to Ishgardian pomp and circumstance. This so-called "prom" has that in spades, and so it's hard to imagine his companion even being slightly interested in it. Still, despite its similarities to a life he's enjoying time away from, Aymeric is more than a little intrigued by the upcoming event.
No one said they had to go together, of course. Estinien could keep his feet firmly planted on the ground while Aymeric worked the crowd, just like old times. But it feels wrong to leave the man behind, too.
